How to access the Traumatic Stress Service
Referrals to the Traumatic Stress Service are via occupational health and require you to be referred by your manager.
Once the referral is received, occupational health will offer an initial triage assessment, and a referral to the Traumatic Stress Service may be one of the treatment options suggested.
Once the Traumatic Stress Service has received the referral from occupational health, they will get in contact with you to arrange an initial assessment appointment. The purpose of this appointment is to share information with you about the service, such as the treatment pathway, treatment programme, medication management and anticipated waiting times. The assessment will also focus on your readiness and the appropriateness of trauma therapy in order for an informed treatment decision to be made at the end of the appointment. This appointment can be offered in-person or online.
There may be times when, following assessment, we might consider that treatment is not indicated, and the reason(s) for this will be discussed with you.
How to make a management referral
All managers should have automatically received an email from noreply@OPASG2.com and will be able to access their manager portal.
If you have not received this email, please take the following steps:
Email the Well Service and provide the following information:
Your name (please note that at this stage, this is the name of the referrer, not the person being referred).
Your work email address
Before sending the email, access ‘options’ and select ‘encrypt’. Now send the encrypted email to the Well Service to receive your link.
Email: wellservice4lscft@elht.nhs.uk
The Well Service will add you to the portal, and you will receive an email inviting you to reset your password to gain access to the system.
Alternative support
If you are interested in accessing alternative help for trauma-related issues, please consider accessing support via Employee Assist.
Alternatively, you can self-refer to NHS Talking Therapies.
The Traumatic Stress Service does not accept GP, external or self-referrals.
