Mindfulness
Mindfulness helps us to live more in the here and now
Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally, according to Jon Kabat-Zinn, the father of Mindfulness.
Mindfulness helps us to live more in the here and now. It’s about paying attention to the little moments. The goal is to learn to switch off the inner autopilot and stop the thought carousel from taking over and to consciously experience the many small wonders of life and to really enjoy them
It aims to help people:
• Become more self-aware
• Feel calmer and less stressed
• Feel more able to choose how to respond to your thoughts and feelings
• Cope with difficult or unhelpful thoughts
• Be kinder towards self
• Manage their day-to-day wellbeing
