Support for you: Bereavement

Bereavement Support

For most of us, the death of a loved one will be the most distressing experience we will ever face, leading to a period of bereavement, grief and loss. Grief is what we feel when somebody we are close to dies. If you have lost someone close to you these feelings may be affecting your life and there are things you can try that may help you. Listed below are some organisations and helplines that you can turn to for help and support.

Where to get help

Speaking to your GP can sometimes be helpful if you are finding that your distress is overwhelming. Alternatively, your GP may suggest speaking to a counsellor as a way of helping you to adjust to what has happened.
