Parent carers

Information and signposting for parent carers

As fellow parent carers within the Trust, we know how much we hold day to day - both at work and at home. Having our caring roles recognised, with understanding and flexibility when things feel overwhelming, makes such a difference and helps us access support when we need it most.

Feeling seen and supported not only helps us look after ourselves but also strengthens the care we are able to give to others. You are not alone. Please look at the information below to access the right support for you when you need it. Additionally, our Trust policies and resources can be referred to and used in conversations with managers, as it is part of their role to consider all potential sources of support.

For any staff who are parent carers and need a bit more support after exhausting all other options, please contact the Pathway Navigators, who are parents with lived experience: PathwayNavigators@lscft.nhs.uk.
